Target Information
Matrix metallopeptidase 12, also known as macrophage metalloelastase, is encoded by the MMP12 gene in pigs. Research found that the presence of IL-1α, IL-1RA, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, and IL-10 and MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-12, and MMP-13 in the synovial fluid was associated with better cartilage outcomes in a porcine model.
