Target Information

H3.3 histone, also known as histone H3.3, is a protein found in all eukaryotes, from yeast to humans. It is a variant of the canonical histone H3 and plays essential roles in maintaining genome integrity during mammalian development. Bovine H3.3 histone D is encoded by the H3-3D gene in cattle. Histone 3 variant H3.3 is abundant in active transcription zones, as well as centromeres and heterochromatinized repeat elements.
