Target Information
Mouse Ubiquitin-Conjugating Enzyme E2A (Ube2a) is a key enzyme in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, involved in protein degradation and cell cycle regulation. Ube2a is highly conserved across species and plays a crucial role in DNA repair, fertility, and memory formation. It is expressed in various tissues, including the brain, reproductive system, and integumental system. Abnormal expression of Ube2a has been implicated in syndromic X-linked intellectual disability Nascimento type. Additionally, Ube2a is involved in the regulation of the Rho/ROCK signaling pathway, which is critical for actin cytoskeleton organization and cell migration.
