Target Information
Mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 15 (Mmp15) is a membrane-associated matrix metalloproteinase involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix components. It plays a role in processes such as cell migration, invasion, and tissue remodeling. In mice, Mmp15 is implicated in cancer progression and metastasis by facilitating tumor cell invasion through the degradation of basement membranes and surrounding tissues. It also participates in normal physiological processes like embryonic development and wound healing. Dysregulation of Mmp15 has been associated with various pathologies, including cancer and inflammatory diseases.
