Target Information
Swine platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFRA) is a cell surface receptor tyrosine kinase that is a key component of the PDGF signaling system in pigs. This receptor plays a crucial role in the regulation of cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation, particularly in connective and mesenchymal tissues. PDGFRA is involved in tissue remodeling, wound healing, and the development of the cardiovascular and nervous systems. It mediates its effects by binding to PDGF-A, leading to receptor activation and the initiation of intracellular signaling pathways that are essential for cell behavior and tissue maintenance in swine.
