Target Information

Beta-Thromboglobulin (β-TG) is a chemokine protein secreted by platelets and is classified as a C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 7. It is among the most well-studied platelet-specific proteins, alongside platelet factor 4 (PF4). Beta-platelet globulin in rabbits is located primarily in the alpha granules of platelets and may play a role in platelet activation and coagulation. β-thrombin coexisted in rabbit platelets with molecules such as platelet glutenin and platelet-derived growth factor, and may participate in the function of platelets in concert. This suggests that β-Thromboglobulin may be an important part of rabbit platelet function.
