Product Overview
BioVenic rabbit polyclonal antibody is specific for mouse lipoprotein lipase. It is purified by protein A. It can be applied to WB, IHC, ICC and IP assays of mouse lipoprotein lipase.
Specifications
Target Information
Mouse lipoprotein lipase (LPL) is a 55 kDa homodimeric enzyme that targets triglyceride-rich lipoproteins at the capillary lumen, hydrolysing triacylglycerols into free fatty acids and monoacylglycerol for tissue uptake. Its C-terminal lipid-binding and N-terminal catalytic domains present unique, species-restricted epitopes ideal for antibody generation; anti-LPL immunoreagents detect active and anchored forms in adipose, muscle and heart homogenates or post-heparin plasma without cross-reacting with hepatic lipase, providing a precise read-out of lipid metabolism and energy supply.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
