Mouse Histidine Triad Nucleotide Binding Protein 1 (HINT1) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

Adenosine 5'-monophosphoramidase HINT1 functions by hydrolyzing purine nucleotide phosphoramidates that contain a single phosphate group, such as adenosine 5'-monophosphoramidate (AMP-NH2), converting them into AMP and NH2. Acting as a tumor suppressor, the loss of HINT1 in mice increases their susceptibility to both spontaneous and chemical carcinogen-induced tumor development. This is evidenced by a higher incidence of tumors in various models, such as gastric, breast, and ovarian cancers, in HINT1-deficient mice. Additionally, HINT1 inhibits oncogenic activity by interacting with transcription factors like β-catenin and MITF. HINT1 deficiency in mice is also associated with heightened hypersensitivity to pain, including increased sensitivity to thermal and mechanical stimuli, potentially linked to overactivation of NMDA receptors.
