Target Information

Insulin-like growth factor binding protein 4 is encoded by the IGFBP4 gene. The protein binds insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) I and II and circulates in plasma in both glycosylated and unglycosylated forms. Research showed that local IGFBP4 might prevent breast muscle growth during embryogenesis but promote it in chickens after hatch.
