Target Information

Bovine Gamma-Synuclein is encoded by the SNCG gene in cattle. SNCG is a protein that helps protect other proteins and is found mainly in the cytoplasm. It may make cancer cells more resistant to chemotherapy, and could be a negative sign for various types of cancer. High levels of SNCG have been identified in advanced breast carcinomas, suggesting a correlation between overexpression of SNCG and breast tumor development.

Target/Biomarker Bovine SNCG
Target Synonym synuclein gamma; gamma-synuclein; SR; synoretin; synuclein, gamma (breast cancer-specific protein 1)
Gene ID 281494
UniProt ID Q9NZ50
