Target Information

Metalloreductase STEAP1, also known as STAMP1 (Six-Transmembrane Epithelial Antigen of the Prostate 1), is an intriguing protein involved in iron metabolism and inflammation. Metalloreductase STEAP1 is encoded by the STEAP1 gene in pigs. The gene product is predicted to be a protein with six transmembrane segments. It has been shown to be a cell surface antigen that is significantly expressed at cell-cell junctions.
