Lutropin subunit beta, also known as luteinizing hormone subunit beta (LHβ), is a polypeptide that, in association with an alpha subunit common to all gonadotropin hormones, forms the reproductive signaling molecule luteinizing hormone. LH is expressed in the pituitary gland and plays essential roles in spermatogenesis and ovulation. Bovine Lutropin Subunit Beta is encoded by the LHB gene in cattle.
