Target Information

Integrins are integral cell-surface proteins that participate in cell adhesion and cell-surface mediated signaling. Integrin beta-2 (ITGB2) is also known as CD18. ITGB2 combines with multiple different alpha chains to form different integrin heterodimers. Bovine Integrin Beta-2 is encoded by the ITGB2 gene in cattle. Bovine clinical manifestations of leukocyte adhesion deficiency is caused by mutations in ITGB2 encoding the leukocyte integrin β-2 subunit (CD18).
