Target Information

Interleukin 12B is encoded by the IL12B gene in sheep. It is a subunit of the cytokine interleukin-12, which plays a protective role in the pathogenesis of malaria. Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is a cytokine produced naturally by various immune cells, including dendritic cells, macrophages, neutrophils, and B-lymphoblastoid cells in response to antigenic stimulation. This 12B subunit has three beta sheet domains.
