Target Information

Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is an endogenous androgenic sex steroid and hormone that is primarily involved in the growth and repair of the prostate and penis, as well as the production of sebum and body hair. Research showed that daily administration of 6 microg DHT kg^-1 body weight to gilts from day 13 of the oestrous cycle to the following oestrus did not affect the relative amounts of androgen receptor mRNA.
