Target Information
Low molecular weight phosphotyrosine protein phosphatase is a tyrosine phosphatase that dephosphorylates phosphotyrosine residues on proteins, acting as a negative regulator of tyrosine kinase signaling pathways involved in various cellular processes like cell growth, differentiation, and migration. It is encoded by the bovine gene ACP1. Research has suggested that the ACP1 gene product functions cellularly not as a protein tyrosyl phosphatase but as a soluble FMN phosphatase.
