Target Information

8-Hydroxydeoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) is an oxidized derivative of deoxyguanosine. It results from the hydroxylation of the 8th position of deoxyguanosine (dG), one of the four DNA bases. It is one of the major products of DNA oxidation. It can be used to evaluate oxidative DNA damage in cattle. 8-OHdG serves as a valuable biomarker for assessing oxidative stress, understanding disease risks, and promoting health by reducing oxidative damage.
