Target Information

Ribophorin I is a transmembrane glycoprotein located in the membrane of the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER). It plays a crucial role in protein synthesis and glycosylation. It is part of the protein complex oligosaccharyltransferase (OST). Ribophorin I is encoded by the porcine RPN1 gene. Research has shown that ER localization of porcine liver oligosaccharyltransferase 48 is likely mediated by complex formation with ribophorin I.
