Copeptin, also known as C-terminal provasopressin, is a glycosylated peptide consisting of 39 amino acids, which is released into the bloodstream during an acute myocardial infarction (AMI). It serves as a potential biomarker for heightened stress and inflammation. Studies with pigs have demonstrated that vaccination against PRRSV does not influence the levels of copeptin released.
