Target Information
Heat shock protein family B (small) member 1, also known as HSP27, is encoded by the HSPB1 gene in goats. This protein is present in cells throughout the body, with a particularly high abundance in nerve and muscle cells. In nerve cells, HSP27 plays a crucial role in organizing a network of molecular threads called neurofilaments, which help maintain the diameter of specialized extensions known as axons.
