Target Information

Swine somatotropin is a hormone produced by the anterior pituitary gland, also known as growth hormone. It plays a critical role in stimulating growth, cell reproduction, and cell regeneration in pigs. Somatotropin influences the metabolism of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, and is essential for the overall growth and development of the animal. It also has an impact on feed efficiency and lean meat production.
