Target Information
Guinea pig Annexin A1 (ANXA1) is a multifunctional protein involved in regulating inflammation and immune responses. ANXA1 inhibits neutrophil accumulation and promotes apoptosis, reducing inflammation. It also plays a role in epithelial morphogenesis by regulating mitotic spindle orientation through interaction with LGN, ensuring proper cell division. In the context of inflammation, ANXA1 acts as an anti-inflammatory mediator, modulating leukocyte infiltration and resolving inflammatory responses. These functions make ANXA1 a potential target for therapeutic interventions in inflammatory and immune-related diseases.
