Target Information

Immunoglobulin M (IgM) is the largest of several isotypes of antibodies produced by vertebrates. In the chicken, IgM is one of the three classes of immunoglobulins (IgM, IgG and IgA) which are produced by plasmablastsand plasma cells, the terminally differentiated end products of the B cell lineage. Every B lymphocyte carries IgM molecules on its surface with a certain antigen specificity.
