Recombinant Chicken G1/S-Specific Cyclin-D2 (CCND2)

Chicken G1/S-Specific Cyclin-D2 (CCND2) is a key regulator of the cell cycle, specifically involved in the G1/S phase transition. It functions as a regulatory subunit of the cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 (CDK4/6), promoting cell cycle progression and cell proliferation. In chickens, CCND2 is highly expressed in tissues with high metabolic activity, such as the liver and muscles, where it plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Abnormal expression of CCND2 has been implicated in various cancers, where it can act as either an oncogene or a tumor suppressor, depending on the context.
