Target Information
Chicken Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a crucial enzyme involved in retinoid metabolism, converting retinaldehyde to retinoic acid, which is essential for various developmental processes. In chickens, ALDH1A1 is expressed in multiple tissues and plays a significant role in adipogenesis. Recent studies have shown that ALDH1A1 inhibits the proliferation and differentiation of chicken preadipocytes through the PPARγ pathway. This effect is opposite to its function in mice, suggesting that ALDH1A1 may have a different regulatory mechanism in chickens.
