Target Information
Sheep interleukin 1 Beta (IL-1β) is a key pro-inflammatory cytokine in the immune system of sheep, playing a significant role in the initiation and mediation of inflammatory responses. It is produced by various cell types, including macrophages and monocytes, and is involved in the activation of T and B lymphocytes, as well as the production of other inflammatory substances. IL-1β is crucial for the immune response against intracellular parasites and is associated with the severity of diseases. It also plays a role in chemotaxis and the activation of inflammatory cells, making it an important factor in the pathogenesis and maintenance of inflammatory and immune responses in sheep.
