Target Information
Canine interferon gamma (IF2F), also known as IFN-gamma, is a type II interferon produced by immune cells such as T cells and NK cells. It plays a key role in activating antibacterial, antiviral, and antitumor responses. IFN-gamma has antiviral, immunoregulatory, and anti-tumor properties. It is a potent activator of macrophages and has antiproliferative effects on transformed cells, potentiating the antiviral and antitumor effects of the type I interferons. This protein is critical for innate and adaptive immunity against viral and intracellular bacterial infections and tumor control.
