Target Information
Bovine Eotaxin (CCL11) is a chemokine that plays a key role in immune responses and inflammation. It selectively recruits eosinophils to sites of inflammation, particularly during allergic reactions. In bovine systems, CCL11 is produced by various cells, including eosinophils, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells. It is involved in the pathogenesis of asthma and other eosinophil-related conditions. Additionally, CCL11 has been implicated in neuroinflammatory disorders, where it may contribute to both neuroprotective and neurotoxic effects. In research, bovine CCL11 is used to study the mechanisms of eosinophil recruitment, inflammation, and its potential role in neuroinflammation.
