Target Information

Bovine albumin (ALB), C-His-Myc, is a multifunctional protein in cattle that binds to a variety of substances, including water, ions, fatty acids, hormones, and drugs. It primarily regulates colloidal osmotic pressure in blood and serves as a major transporter for zinc, calcium, and magnesium. It also plays a role in iron metabolism by inhibiting bacterial iron uptake, which can limit the growth of enteric bacteria. This protein is essential for maintaining fluid balance, pH, and nutrient transport in Bovine physiology.
