Target Information

Pro-epidermal growth factor (pro-EGF) in swine refers to the precursor form of the epidermal growth factor (EGF), a protein that plays a critical role in cell signaling and proliferation. Pro-EGF is cleaved to release the mature EGF, which then binds to the EGF receptor, activating intracellular signaling pathways that promote cell growth, division, and survival. It is involved in wound healing, tissue regeneration, and the maintenance of epithelial integrity.
