Target Information
Bovine transportin 1 (TNPO1), also known as karyopherin β2, is a nuclear transport receptor that plays a crucial role in the import of proteins into the nucleus. It binds to the PY (proline-tyrosine) nuclear localization signal of cargo proteins, facilitating their translocation across the nuclear pore complex. TNPO1 is involved in various cellular processes, including RNA binding protein import and Wnt signaling, and is implicated in neurodegenerative diseases and viral infections due to its role in protein aggregation and nuclear entry.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with dry ice. It is recommended to aliquot as needed and store at -80°C upon receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4°C for 1 week, at < -80°C for 12 months. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
