Target Information
Mouse interleukin 2 receptor alpha (IL-2Rα, CD25) is a 55-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed on activated mouse T cells, regulatory T cells (Tregs), and subsets of B cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and dendritic cells. As a key component of the high-affinity IL-2 receptor complex (αβγ), it enhances IL-2 binding affinity, initiating downstream signaling that regulates T cell proliferation, survival, and differentiation. Critical for murine adaptive immune homeostasis, it promotes effector T cell expansion during infection and maintains Treg-mediated immune tolerance. Dysregulated expression contributes to autoimmune diseases, immunodeficiencies, and cancer. As a selective marker of activated and regulatory T cells, mouse IL-2Rα is a critical target for studying immunology, inflammatory disorders, and immunotherapeutic development.
