Target Information
Mouse FABP2, a 15 kDa cytosolic lipid chaperone, is confined to villus-tip enterocytes where it ferries long-chain fatty acids from the apical membrane to mitochondria and peroxisomes for β-oxidation. Its rapid release into serum upon mucosal injury makes it a sensitive, intestine-specific readout for epithelial integrity. Detectable by ELISA, Western blot and IHC, FABP2 is ideal for tracing lipid malabsorption, ischemia-reperfusion and gut-liver axis disruption in metabolic, inflammatory and infectious models .

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
