Mouse adiponectin, a 30 kDa collagen-like hormone secreted exclusively by adipocytes, circulates as trimers, hexamers and high-molecular-weight multimers that bind AdipoR1/R2 to activate AMPK and PPAR-α pathways, thereby enhancing hepatic and skeletal-muscle fatty-acid oxidation, suppressing gluconeogenesis and limiting macrophage inflammation. Its abundant plasma levels fall sharply with obesity, making it a reliable ELISA, Western blot or immunohistochemistry target for monitoring metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance and atherosclerosis in serum, adipose and vascular tissues .

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
