Target Information
Protein Phosphatase 1 Regulatory Subunit 14B (PPP1R14B), also known as Swiprosin-1, is a protein encoded by the PPP1R14B gene in pigs. It is a poorly defined member of the protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunits. Aberrant upregulation of PPP1R14B has been observed in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) tissues and is associated with poor prognosis. The PPP1R14B protein is capable of inhibiting PP1 and several PP1 holoenzymes. It localizes to the juxtamembrane of smooth muscle cells and is involved in the regulation of the trailing edge of migrating cells and modulates the retraction of endothelial and epithelial cells.
