Target Information

Matrix metallopeptidase 8, also known as neutrophil collagenase, is encoded by the MMP8 gene in pigs. Research showed that MMP8 and one of its substrates, type II collagen, showed a mutually exclusive expression pattern in pig endometrial luminal epithelium during implantation.
