Target Information

Apelin is widely expressed in various organs, including the heart, lung, kidney, liver, adipose tissue, gastrointestinal tract, brain, adrenal glands, endothelium, and human plasma. Bovine Apelin is encoded by the APLN gene in cattle. APLN can increase progesterone secretion and cell proliferation in bovine luteinizing granulosa cells in vitro, while blocking meiotic progression at the germinal vesicle stage during bovine oocyte maturation in vitro.
