Integrin beta-2 (ITGB2) is also known as CD18. ITGB2 combines with multiple different alpha chains to form different integrin heterodimers. Integrin Beta-2 is encoded by the ITGB2 gene in pigs. ITGB2 is a cell surface receptor that associates with integrin alpha chains to form integrin complexes, which play important roles in cell adhesion and cell surface signaling, as well as in immune function.
