Target Information
Immunoglobulin G (IgG) molecules are glycoproteins critical for protecting the body from invading pathogens. IgG is comprised of various subclasses that differ in size, prevalence in serum, half-life, and capabilities such as immune complex formation, complement activation, interaction with Fc receptors, effector functions, and placental transfer. Within pigs, IgG1 is identified as one such subclass of IgG.
