Target Information

The Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor is encoded by the PTGFR gene in chickens. Prostaglandin F2α is part of the PGF series, consisting of 10 different forms. The concentration of PGF in the uterine tissue of laying hens rises during spontaneous oviposition, suggesting that PGF likely functions as a local hormone affecting the uterus at this stage.
