Target Information

5-Hydroxytryptamine Receptor 1B is encoded by the HTR1B gene in pigs. The 5-HT1B receptor is a G-protein coupled receptor for serotonin (also known as 5-hydroxytryptamine). It is involved in transmitting signals within the central and peripheral nervous systems. Forced activation of serotonin receptor 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 1B signaling could induce ovarian gene expression and cell proliferation to partially rescue right gonadal degeneration.

Target/Biomarker Porcine HTR1B
Target Synonym 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 1B; 5-HT-1B; 5-HT1B; Serotonin receptor 1B; HTR1B
