Target Information
The low affinity immunoglobulin epsilon Fc receptor, also known as Fc-epsilon-RII or FCER2, is a receptor expressed on the surface of mouse B cells and dendritic cells. Research indicates that FCER2 negatively regulates B cell receptor (BCR) signaling, facilitating BCR-mediated cell aggregation and B cell activation. This regulation is achieved through actin-mediated BCR aggregation and activation, while simultaneously reducing B cell proliferation and increasing apoptosis. Additionally, FCER2 demonstrates potential tumor suppressor functions in mice. Studies have shown that FCER2-positive B cells can inhibit the proliferation and migration of tumor cells, suggesting that FCER2 may play an anti-tumor role by modulating immune responses.
