Target Information

NF-kappa-B is a versatile transcription factor found in nearly all cell types, acting as the endpoint of numerous signal transduction events triggered by a wide variety of stimuli related to biological processes such as inflammation, immunity, differentiation, cell growth, tumorigenesis, and apoptosis. It forms a homo- or heterodimeric complex composed of Rel-like domain-containing proteins, including RELA/p65, RELB, NFKB1/p105, NFKB1/p50, REL, and NFKB2/p52. In mice, Nfkb2 has several crucial functions, including regulating immune tolerance, maintaining central nervous system tolerance, modulating the non-classical NF-κB signaling pathway, and contributing to the development of diseases such as osteoporosis and cancer.
