Target Information

Osteopontin (OPN), which is encoded by the SPP1 gene in chickens, is a glycosylated protein that widely exists in the extracellular matrix. It was found that SPP1 could have considerable involvement in egg development of a rare indigenous chicken breed that inhabited the Korean Peninsula.
