Mouse Toll Like Receptor 6 (TLR6) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

Toll-like receptor 6 is involved in the innate immune response to Gram-positive bacteria and fungi by specifically recognizing diacylated and, to a lesser extent, triacylated lipopeptides. In response to diacylated lipopeptides, it forms an activation complex consisting of TLR2:TLR6:CD14:CD36, which initiates signaling from the cell surface and then targets the Golgi through a lipid-raft dependent pathway. Tlr6 serves several critical roles in the mouse immune system, including regulating inflammatory responses, recognizing pathogens, facilitating immune responses, and defending against specific pathogens. In a mouse asthma model, Tlr6 activation offers protection by regulating the production of IL-23 and IL-17A. Mice lacking Tlr6 demonstrate significant increases in airway hyperresponsiveness, inflammation, and airway remodeling, alongside significantly reduced levels of IL-23 and IL-17A.
