Target Information

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin found in citrus fruits, berries, and vegetables. It is essential for the synthesis of collagen, a protein important in the formation of connective tissue and in wound healing. It acts as an antioxidant, protecting against damage by reactive molecules called free radicals. High-dose administration of vitamin C might provide antioxidant benefits in horses.
