Target Information
Hsp70, also known as DnaK, refers to a family of conserved heat shock proteins with a molecular weight of approximately 70 kilodaltons. These proteins are ubiquitously expressed and share a similar structure across a wide range of living organisms. Within cells, Hsp70s play a crucial role in protein folding, act as chaperones, and provide protection against the detrimental effects of various physiological stresses. Heat shock protein 70.1 is encoded by the goat gene HSP70.1. The synthesis of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) is temperature dependent and its response is considered as a cellular thermometer in response to thermal stress. The HSP70 gene was found to be polymorphic in Indian goats.
