Target Information
Norepinephrine is a catecholamine. It is both a neurotransmitter and a hormone. The main source of norepinephrine in the circulating blood is the adrenal medulla. On isolated perfused canine pancreas, research showed that noradrenaline induced a strong vasoconstriction (inhibited by phenoxybenzamine), followed by a moderate vasodilation (possibly mechanical).
