Target Information
Neuromodulin, also known as Growth-Associated Protein 43 (GAP-43), is a protein associated with nerve growth. Bovine Neuromodulin is encoded by the GAP43 gene in cattle. It is a major component of the motile 'growth cones' that form at the tips of elongating axons. It has multiple functions in the central nervous system. It is involved in growth cone formation and axon guidance, cellular signaling, synaptic plasticity, neuroregeneration, and apoptosis.
