Target Information

Small ribosomal subunit protein uS2 is a ribosomal protein component of the small ribosomal subunit (40S) in the ribosome, a complex macromolecule responsible for protein synthesis. uS2 contributes to the structural integrity and function of the small subunit, essential for proper mRNA translation. It is encoded by the RPSA gene in bovine. It is a multifunctional protein that plays a role in a number of pathological processes, such as cancer and prion diseases.
